About Agnes
What is Agnes?
Agnes checks the frontend code in your repositories and gives it a health score, with the findings behind it: code smells, dependencies, security and duplication, plus tests and accessibility if you switch them on. You connect a repository and Agnes does the rest; there is nothing to install or configure in your project.
Who is Agnes for?
For businesses: companies, organisations and self-employed professionals who build websites or web apps. You use Agnes as a business, so the terms of service apply instead of consumer rules.
Terms of serviceWhich languages and frameworks does Agnes support?
HTML, CSS (including SCSS, Sass and Less), JavaScript and TypeScript, with React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, Svelte, SvelteKit, Astro, Angular and more. Some checks are partial for some frameworks; the Frameworks page shows exactly what is covered.
Framework coverageHow is the score calculated?
Each category gets a score from 0 to 100 from its findings, weighted by how serious they are and, for code, by the size of the codebase. The overall score is a weighted mix of the categories. A category that cannot be analysed is left out instead of counting as zero.
Tools and scoringWhich git hosts can I connect?
GitHub, through the Agnes Code Quality GitHub App, for both personal accounts and organisations.
Why was my repository not analysed?
Agnes analyses repositories that are mostly frontend code, so a repository that is mostly backend code is skipped. A repository with more lines than your plan allows per project is not analysed either. The project page tells you which of these applies.
Framework coverageCan my AI agent work with Agnes?
Yes. Agnes runs an MCP server that Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other agents can connect to with a personal API token. Your agent can then read your reports, see which fixes gain the most points, and write a plan to raise the score. The tools are read-only.
Connect an agentYour code and data
What access does Agnes need to my repositories?
Read-only access to the repositories you choose when you install the GitHub App: it can read their contents and nothing else. Agnes cannot push code, open pull requests or change settings, and you can remove the app on GitHub at any time.
Do you store my code?
No. The branch is copied to our servers only for the duration of an analysis, in an isolated container without network access, and deleted when the run ends. Reports keep file paths, line numbers and the tools' messages, not your code.
Does Agnes run my scripts, build or config files?
No. Agnes never installs your dependencies or runs your code, scripts or config files; every tool runs with our own configuration. The package names and versions in your lockfile are checked against the public OSV and npm databases, outside the sandbox.
Tools and scoringWhere is my data stored?
In the European Union: on servers in Germany, with reports and encrypted backups in EU storage. The privacy policy lists every party involved and what they do.
Privacy policyDo you use my code to train AI?
No. We do not sell your code or data, do not use it to train machine-learning models, and do not show it to anyone outside your account.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a project in the app to remove it with its reports, or delete your account in Settings to remove everything. Deletion is immediate; copies in our encrypted backups disappear within 30 days.
Plans and billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan is for one person with up to 3 projects of up to 25,000 lines each, checked every day when there are new commits. Paid plans add projects, bigger repositories, more people and manual re-runs.
PricingWho handles payment, and what about VAT?
Payments run through Stripe's Link, which sells the subscription as merchant of record: it collects the payment and any VAT or sales tax, and sends your receipts and invoices. Prices are in US dollars per month, excluding VAT.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes, at any time under Settings → Plan and billing. An upgrade or downgrade applies straight away and is prorated. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you paid for; after that your team continues on the free plan.
What happens if my team goes over its plan's limits?
Projects beyond your plan's limit are paused, the most recently added first: their history is kept, but they are not analysed until you upgrade or remove another project. People already in the team stay, but no one new can join until there is room.
PricingDo you give refunds?
Fees already paid are not refunded, also not for the unused part of a month, except where the law requires it. If you think you were charged by mistake, contact us or Link support within 60 days of the payment.
Terms of serviceAccount and team
Can I work with my team?
Yes. Every account has a team, and on a paid plan you can invite people as members or admins. Only the team's owner manages the plan and billing. The pricing page shows how many people each plan allows.
PricingHow do I sign in?
With GitHub, or with your email address and a password. For password sign-ins you can turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app in Settings.
How do I contact you?
Email [email protected]. We answer questions about your account, billing and privacy, usually within a few working days.
